The exploration of this site is akin to visiting a vast exquisitely personal repository of photographic artwork, poems, extemporaneous thoughts and, of course grounded in the faith that there is a "god" and that god is ultimately the foundation of the cosmic force that drives all creation. This artist , like Van Vogh, has suffered deeply but has not given in to the dark forces; rather, he has turned pain and adversity into radiant works ... more importantly inspiration for all who are lucky enough to find him. You are a beautiful soul. I understand your outrage at the bombastic and ridiculous declarations of the ignorant, frightened and small-minded tyrants who demand a stage for their hatred of women and anyone who does not resemble them. These people are terrified that they are temporarily losing followers. I believe there are enough like you to pull us further towards transcendence , tolerance and ,as you have so beautifully illustrated it, LOVE.
Hi Cary ~

Really enjoyed reading your views on impressionism - painting and photography.

As a painter i use photos sometimes for reference, but paintings that are done plein air often have a vibrancy to them (provided the artist is successful in capturing the light and colours before they change) that is difficult to remember once back in the studio. Manipulating oil paints tends to be finite or easily under control, so it's sometimes fun to stretch and do mixed media where you have no idea your eventual outcome. I would expect digital photography might be the same.

My web site is in the listing above, but have newer photos of work, gallery & studio at the link below.

With Warmest Baha'i Greetings from California,
Kristine

Rosh Hashanah is just around the corner, so I'll start off the new year believing in the power of old-fashioned elbow grease and the joys of grandmotherhood and the blessings of my local rabbi and they will have to do.

Woof! I like your interpretation/observation/description of how Avave looks at your world from her world. And I think it would make a great children's book.

warmest regards,
